ARC's goal is to help you plant your church. Your first step is to attend a Church Planters Roundtable (CPR) where we offer training and a broad array of resources. You can find out when there is a CPR coming up in our events section.
We are excited to now offer Church Planters Internship (CPI) with some of the best churches in ARC. If you are interested in planting a church in the next one to two years and would like to intern for 6 months to 1 year in an ARC Church, complete the church planter's application.
ARC is not involved in planting churches internationally. At this time, we will not be able to accept applications from other countries.
If after attending a CPR you want to pursue a relationship with ARC and be an ARC sponsored church plant, there are 4 phases to go through:
Complete the ARC church planter's application. We will contact your references to verify character and fruitfulness as a gatherer of people in the local church. We also evaluate several factors during this phase such as the location of your church plant, your exposure to a "life-giving" church model, and your suitability to the overall ARC vision as a church planter.
Upon approval of your application, your next step is for you and your spouse to attend our two-day Assessment. This is typically about two months after the CPR. We take you through a series of leadership profiles, interviews, and group interaction to help determine your ability to launch a church. You must receive a recommendation to proceed as an ARC church plant. The Assessment is not designed to question your calling as a church planter but to determine if your vision is a match for ARC.
This is where you move or have moved to your target city. During this phase, you must build a launch team of at least 35 adults, raise $30,000, get a worship team in place, have a sponsoring church that will stand with you financially, and have a signed contract for a venue to meet in. ARC also recommends having a life-giving constitution and by-laws similar to the sample of the ARC church bylaws. If you are recommended from the assessment and have fulfilled these specific requirements, ARC will then provide matching funds and make sure that you meet your monthly church budget for the first six months after you launch.
When these following things have been done, you are ready to launch a life-giving church in your city. Now, your launch team of 35 adults is ready to greet and welcome all the visitors your first weekend, all advertising and mailers have gone out 10 days to 2 weeks prior to your first service, your worship team is well rehearsed, you have taken your team through one or two practice services, you are ready to start your first message series, and your children's ministry is in place. You are ready to launch a life-giving church!
